WNAF this week: ``Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: a Year of Food Life''by Barbara Kingsolver.The Ministry of Peace and ustice will take the themes of this book in the following way. Tanya will talk about her personal journey of eating locally, and seasonally. Russ will follow the trail of bringing food to our table, including the visible and invisible costs. Marguerite will reflect on the use of chemicals in food and how eating locally can address the concerns. Suzanne will offer a visual description of genetically modified food.
We hope you will plan to join us for the fellowship meal and program.

This morning's guest speaker: We welcome Hugo Saucedo who is a member of San Antonio Mennonite Church. He lives in San Antonio, TX, with his wife, Danielle, and two-year-old son, Gabriel. Hugo began his responsibilities as Director of Mennonite Voluntary Service on June 1, 2008. He has a degree in History From the University of Texas at San Antonio, and was the former Conference Youth Minister of WDC.
We also wish to welcome all the Mennonite Voluntary Service Local Leaders who came to participate in the Annual Conference here at FMC these past few days.
